Vancouver Special Shortlisted for BC Book Prize
filed in Featured, Home on Mar.12, 2010
The BC Book Prize shortlist was announced yesteday, and we were thrilled to discover that Vancouver Special by Charles Demers is up for the Hubert Evans Non-Fiction Prize. Other Arsenal Pulp titles are also contenders: Automaton Biographies by Larissa Lai is shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. We were also happy to see Arsenal alumni showing up in the list as well: Michael Turner and Cathleen With in fiction, and Gillian Jerome (co-author of City of Vancouver Book Award winner Hope in Shadows) in poetry.
This year’s BC Book Prizes, which “celebrate the achievements of British Columbia writers and publishers,” will be presented at a dinner at Government House in Victoria, BC on April 24.
Congratulations all!

Hello,
Sorry, the person who built this site for us is no longer working here. I’m just trying to keep it updated (which I don’t), and I don’t know enough about the back end.
Good luck!
